Amazfit GTR smartwatch comes in two different size variants – 42mm and 47mm. We had a chance to get the 47mm model on the hands, which feels way more classic. The circular metallic frame and the leather straps giving the watch a traditional classy look. So, no one would know that you are wearing a smartwatch unless you swipe away the watch face. You can also get silicone or rubber straps to use on various occasions. Don’t get it confused with an Android Wear smartwatch. Amazfit GTR is a smart wearable with Amafit’s own ecosystem, having some essential features.
You can choose between the aluminum alloy case and the stainless steel case. The aluminum case has a matte finished colored body, while the stainless steel comes with matte chromium finish only. There are two traditional push buttons on the right side of the case, alongside the rotating dial around the display similar to Samsung Gear S3. That pair gives it a more classic look, to be frank. The heart rate sensor, as usual, takes up space on the behind of the watch body.

There is no app installation allowed on the Watch.
While using the device, we considered it more as a smart fitness wearable with an elegant display and features. The device performs well with activity tracking and health recording. Since it cannot store much data within the watch itself, you need to pair the device with the smartphone to sync activity data with the Amazfit app. The heart rate monitor seems to showcase an impressive performance with 24 hours of monitoring, but the accuracy leaves a little more room for improvement. The touch screen has a better response, compared to the older models from the brand.
